Nicholas McBride hailing from Melbourne, Australia started his career with Sonic Motor Racing but soon found his calling with the team and sponsors Porsche Centre Melbourne, when he joined Carrera Cup Australia in the hunt for a career in Supercars. Born on February 12, 1991, Nick forged a reputation as one of the series’ most competitive drivers pretty early in his career.

He started competing in Australia again after a two-and-a-half-year campaign in the United Kingdom’s British Formula Ford and Formula 3 series. McBride won his first Carrera Cup Australia race on home turf at Albert Park in 2015 and backed that up with his first ever round win at the Clipsal 500 in March 2016 and an eventual Sandown round victory in 2017.

His career highlights include podium finish at Formula Ford Festival – Duratec class in 2011, Dunlop MSA Formula Ford Championship of Great Britain in 2011 and Liqui-moly Bathurst 12 Hour – Class B in 2017. Nick soon built a reputation for being consistently fast and racing at the pointy-end, and McBride won four rounds entering the 2020 season, accumulating 9 podium finish, and winning 11 races along the way.
