With 328 races and 22 event wins, Sweden’s Johan Kristofferson is set to return after a year gap for the World RX this season. He is already a double FIA World Rallycross Champion and his eyes would be firmly set to win his third Drivers’ title this season – happening at Holjes-Sweden. The champion would be representing Sebastian Loeb Racing, driving a Volkswagen Golf for the World Touring Car Cup championship.

In his last World RX appearance, Kristofferson won 11 out of the 12 rounds to claim his second title. This year he has returned to rallycross after racing circuit racing and rally for almost a year.

After a few European RX and World RX drives in 2013 and 2015, he dedicated all his effort and time to the FIA World Rallycross Championship in 2015 with Volkswagen Team Sweden. He established himself with a runner-up spot at World RX of France in 2016 and dominated the World RX campaign of 2017 and 2018 to get the Championship crown both years. He is paired with former RX2 International Series event winner Evjen, for the three Euro RX rounds that join World RX, in Sweden, Latvia and Belgium, driving a factory-developed Volkswagen Polo Supercar.
