Officials at the International Series of Champions (ISOC), are pleased to announce the creation of a new short-course, off-road series: Championship Off-Road.
After the dissolution of the Lucas Oil Midwest Short Course League, ISOC has been working with the owners of Crandon International Raceway, Bark River Raceway and ERX Motor Park to create a new short course offroad series which will honour the rich legacy of the sport, while blending in some much-needed progressive change.
With a short-term goal, of increasing exposure and developing a consistent racing platform, the new series also has an eye on long-term sustainability.
The goal of unifying a short-course racing series in the United States is headlined by bringing the best off-road racers in the world together, while creating a unique platform for manufacturer involvement. Championship Off-Road plans to expand and broaden all aspects of the short-course racing market in new and innovative ways.
“We understand the difficulties that lay before us, because we’ve been through it,” said ISOC President, Carl Schubitzke. “There are no quick-fix answers, but we know how to build a competent and professional business-model around events that are beneficial to everyone involved.
This ten-race series, will lay the groundwork for future success and that success starts with the racers. Our mission statement is that we are a racers circuit, and that is how we will continue to operate. Along with working amongst the racers, Championship Off-Road will create a National footprint increasing awareness and coverage for manufacturers and sponsors alike.”
Based out of Albertville, Minn., ISOC is the ownership group behind the world renowned AMSOIL Championship Snocross. ISOC turned the then struggling series into a marketable and entertaining National sport, while growing its base of major, national-level sponsors, many of whom have been involved with the company for more than a decade.
Championship Off-Road is already proud to announce its new partnership with Dirt City Motorplex. The Lena, WI. race course will ensure great racing for the World’s best Short Course racers once again this summer. “Dirt City is very excited to partner with ISOC for the 2020 season and beyond. We are very confident this is the best move for the future of Off-Road racing in the Midwest.” Said Don Demeny, Dirt City President.
ISOC also owns its own television production company, Long Haul Productions, and has previously worked with both Crandon and ERX. They have also worked on other racing projects including; Champ UTV, Pro Watercross World Championship, and the American Rally Association.

The inaugural season of Championship Off-Road will feature increased presence in the already growing Side-by-Side market. Additionally, the all new Off-Road series will be highlighted by the current four short-course race venues in the Midwest. The series looks to expand nationwide in the near future.
